Annoying Floating Buffoon by eltonpot Annoying Floating Buffoon by eltonpot
it's a little known fact (at least online) that I'm a geek for Masters of the Universe franchise. I grew up in the 80's watching that cheesy He-Man cartoons by Filmation and playing with MOTU toys. and more recently, I started collecting the MOTU Classics figures.

I'm considering to draw more MOTU stuff in the future, but for now I'm bringing up my rendition of that clumsy little creature known as 'Orko', the magician from the dimension of Trolla. :)

I only watched the rebooted show, and because I kept waiting for Orco to do something cool. Wizard powerful enough to fly contstantly; completely useless.

I love Orko, he's so funny. I love how they shown Orko falling in love at his home planet. Wish to see his face, though.

Orko was originally a Filmation creation, but I'm so happy he's officially canon in "Masters of the Universe."

Nearly all of Lou Scheimer's cartoons had an annoying child-like character in them, usually voiced by him!

Flawless piece man! i remember i used to have one of Orko's figures from MOTU series back in the 80's...i remember it has like some sort of plastic strap you had to insert on his back and then pull it back to make him roll over the floor lol...i love to see stuff like this from time to time ,it kinda bring me back some good memories from my childhod back when cartoons were awesome or at least Better than the present day products out there in terms of quality...so whats gonna be next man? hope to see more goodies ! lets see WHEN i can get to draw some stuff for me to post on my account i would love to do the same with other faves from the 80s.. ill see what can i do later on :) cheers!

Heya, nice to see you here, dude! :) Yeah, I had that orko toy as well. Kinda cheesy gimmick, but served it's purpose quite well. :D
Ow, and I must say it was a bit sad to notice you removed most of your artwork. :( So hope to see new stuff from you, I mis that. ^^

We started watching them on Netflix recently too, since I'd never really watched them as a kid. My BF was like WE MUST REMEDY THIS and we've just been making fun of the show constantly every time we watch it :D

This is a FANTASTIC Orko!

Yeah, Filmation's He-Man cartoons didn't age quite well, mostly due to the recurring use of stock animation takes. But it was pretty fun and addictive at the time, and I still enjoy watching it. :)

You mean Marko Djurdjevic's works? If so, I think it's awesome! I'm usually a purist, but I really enjoyed his grim, dark approach to the franchise. Very creepy and imaginative.

Personally, I liked Oroko myself, tyhinking he was a good deal more helpful than the series often gave him credit for. I think a lot of his appeal was his child-like view of things throughout the world of Eternia and and beyond. :)
